War of 1812

More than 200 years have past since the War of 1812 ended in 1815. We would like to gathering the names and biographical information of the men from Sterling who served during this period of American history. If you know of someone who was born in Sterling or Fair Haven, lived here, died here or is buried here, please let us know. Any additional information you have on any of these veterans is greatly appreciated.

Captain Divine organized the local Sterling Militia. We are attempting to construct a list of the members of this Divine’s Company through various documents and pension records which mention the members. Below is a partial list constructed so far.
