The Sterling Grist Mill Complex in Sterling Center is on both, the National Register of Historic Places, and the New York State Register. map
The Sterling Historical Society authoried the applications for inclusion on the Resgisters in 2002.
The “complex” is located on private property and consists of:
- the wooden mill building built about 1835
- the rubble foundation of the 1859 Holiday tannery
- the mill pond dam
- the penstock built about 1900.
